IVY CITIZENS CO-FOUNDER AND LEAD DESIGNER RECEIVES FASHION RECOGNITION ON THE INTERNATIONAL STAGE
Amanda Laird Cherry was honored as Fashion Designer of the Year at the anuual World Fashion Awards hosted in London, UK. Cherry was in the running for the elite award with many other recognized designers including Virgil Abloh, Victoria Beckham, Phillipp Plein, Ozwald Boateng, Ryan Lo and several others. Other award recipients included Dame Mary Quant and Donatella Versace, who both were honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. The World Fashion Awards celebrates established and rising fashion brands, designers, models outlets, manufacturers, buyers and media that together, form the international fashion scene.
Additionally, she won the ChangeMaker Award at the Twyg Sustainable Fashion Awards in Cape Town. This award recognizes Cherry for her continued efforts to make significant changes in the manufacturing process to ensure textile waste is minimized.
